MFLC "Helping Hand" Scholarship Program
When the phone at MFLC rings, it is often a parent or grandparent seeking advice and academic help for a child who is struggling in school.
We hear more and more from callers that they area struggling themselves. Some struggle to make ends meet, some struggle from their own lack of education. There is no extra money for tutoring or summer camp. For whatever the reason, they need a "Helping Hand."
MFLC's philosophy is that everyone can learn and no one is so disadvantaged that they should be declined that opportunity.
Over the years, MFLC has formed community partnerships with individuals, business, civic groups, local schools, and Elon University's Service Learning Center. Through their continued support, we have nee able to provide educational services to families in Alamance County who qualify.
Learning is: more than just passing tests.
Learning is: asking how and why.
Learning is: steps to understanding.
Won't you please give a "Helping Hand" so that others may have the opportunity to enjoy the journey? Please contact us today for more information on donations to this wonderful program. 100% of all donations go toward scholarships and are tax deductible.
